International Certificate of Competence (ICC) Powerboats up to 10m

A Theory and Practical course designed to cover the requirements to meet the requirements for issue of an MCA UK ICC (International Certificate of Competence) based on Resolution 40 from the Economic Commission for Europe Inland Transport Committee Working Party on Inland Water Transport. This course is also the IYT MCA Approved Small Powerboat & RIB Master Course and both licenses can be issued / applied for at the end of the course. The ICC (10m) for powerboats is the license needed by insurance companies for private own boat use or to charter boats abroad.

This is a 2-day in person practical course covering:

Limitations:

• Powerboats upto 10m in length
• Operation in coastal regions – in sight of land
• Driven by outboard or inboard motors
• In fair weather
• No horsepower limitations

Can I rent or charter a powerboat abroad or in the UK with this license?

YES! Subject to the insurance requirements of the charter company, you will more than likely in most cases, be able to charter a boat without a skipper with this license.
