Meet the Team

A qualified MCA Master / OOW with 15+ year’s experience in the industry and a proven track record in maritime training delivering, specialising in vessels of less than 500gt – primarily workboats, large yachts, sail training & powerboats. Jon is an MCA / IYT Examiner for HS-OSC, Master of Yachts 200gt (Power and Sail). Jon is the author of the latest / most recent IYT Master of Yachts Unlimited Course. He has a passion for making the complicated stuff, simple! Jon delivers all/most of our celestial / Master of Yacht Unlimited Courses.

An MCA & IYT Instructor for various courses including IYT Master of Yachts (Power) 200gt, STCW Personal Survival Techniques, Radar & Small Powerboat & RIB Master. Having served for several years in the Royal Navy and RNLI, Iain now holds an MCA Master / OOW CoC and spends most of his time working offshore as a Master or conducting examinations and courses. When not working, you’ll find Iain kitesurfing in various parts of the world.

Jake is a well-known face in the local area and spends most of his hours each day afloat out on the water on various craft ranging from his 9m tour RIB to our 6m Training RIB or our clients’ own boats. Jake has a wealth of local knowledge and experience.

Terry works full time on the front line for the Fire & Rescue Service. In his spare time, he supports the delivery of our STCW MCA Medical First Aid courses.

Bringing smiles, smooches, boops and hugs (and many laughs) to our office. H loves being out on the boats when they’re not in use!

Ian (aka Sammo) has a wealth of experience as a small boat Skipper and Instructor. When he’s not delivering courses for us, he’s likely afloat delivering or racing a yacht! As an active RNLI ALB Crew Member, it is fair to say you are in safe hands!

Allan has a passion for adventure and the sea, however, specialises in delivering dynamic, interactive first aid and medical training to all levels. Alan frequently supports the delivery of our MCA Medical First Aid courses whilst remaining active as a first responder.

Jason has worked with our MD, Jon for many years and is the creative tech genius behind our website, booking system(s) and IT.
